HelloMe is a mobile app that shows a small group of people you choose one simple colour, so they know whether you're free to talk.
There is no feed, no followers, and no algorithm deciding who you hear from. You open it, you glance, you close it.
You invite a few close friends or family, and they accept. You set your colour with one tap whenever it changes.
When you want to reach someone, you tap them and HelloMe hands off to the apps you already use to call or text — it never sends messages for you. If you forget to update your status, it quietly returns to purple after 24 hours, so nobody is looking at stale information.
Only people who have accepted a connection with you. Connections are mutual: someone requests, you accept. A pending request never reveals your status.
There are no public profiles and no way for a stranger to see anything. You can also group people into circles — family, close friends, the gym crew — and show a different status to each at the same time.
No. HelloMe carries no advertising, no ad SDKs, and no advertising identifiers. It uses no third-party analytics SDKs and does no cross-app or cross-site tracking.
We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Your calls and texts happen in your own apps, so HelloMe does not read or store your conversations. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
No. Your status changes only when you change it. HelloMe never infers your availability from your location, your calendar, or your screen time.
No — contacts matching is entirely optional. Adding people by phone number works without granting it.
Looking someone up by phone number tells you only whether they are on HelloMe and your relationship state. It never reveals their name, photo, number, or status until they accept you.
HelloMe is built for a small circle — a handful of people rather than a follower count. Most people use it with somewhere between two and ten of the people closest to them.
Messaging apps are great for talking, but you have to send a message to find out whether someone is around. Scheduling tools book time in advance. Social feeds are built around audiences, content, and algorithms.
HelloMe does the one thing they don't: it shows a few close friends when you're free, before anyone sends anything.
HelloMe is out on both platforms and free to download — on iPhone from the App Store (iOS 15.1 or later), and on Android from Google Play.
HelloMe is free to download, with optional in-app purchases. What will never pay for it: ads, or the sale of your personal data — that isn't going to change.
You must be at least 13, or the minimum digital-consent age in your country. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian needs to have reviewed and agreed to the Terms on your behalf.
Our safety standards and how to report a concern are on the Child Safety page.
From inside the app, at any time — no email required and no waiting on us. It removes your account and the data tied to it. Step-by-step instructions are on the Support page.
That’s HelloMe Live, and it’s in development. A code at your door shows visitors which of your staff are free right now, and lets them call, text or meet them from their browser — no app or account needed.
We’re designing it for care, healthcare, banking, retail, venues, government and more. An interactive demo is available on request; the industry versions are concepts today, and compliance certifications such as HIPAA, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 are planned, not complete. See HelloMe Live →
