Contact us

HelloMe is built by a small family team. Email is the fastest way to reach a human — we aim to reply within two business days.

Signing in

HelloMe signs you in with your phone number and a one-time SMS passcode — there is no password to remember or lose.

The code never arrives

  • Check that the number you entered is correct, including country code.
  • Codes are short-lived. If one expires, request a new one rather than reusing the old.
  • Carrier filtering occasionally blocks automated SMS. Wait a minute and try again before contacting us.
  • Still stuck? Email support@hellome.us with the number you're trying to use.
Standard message and data rates may apply to sign-in codes. HelloMe never asks for your code — anyone who does is trying to take over your account.

How presence works

You set one status — HelloMe, TextMe, or Busy — and the people who have accepted a connection with you see it update instantly.

  • Connection is mutual. Request, then accept. A pending request never reveals your status.
  • Circles. Group people into circles — family, close friends, the gym crew — and set a different status for each at the same time.
  • Notifications. You choose exactly what pings you, with quiet hours.
  • HelloMe never messages for you. Tapping a person opens your own call, SMS, or messaging app.

Looking someone up by phone number tells you only whether they are on HelloMe and your relationship state — never their name, photo, number, or status until they accept you.

4

Finding friends from contacts

Contacts matching is entirely optional. Adding people by phone number works without granting it.

If you do grant permission, your device sends normalized phone numbers over an encrypted connection so we can check which are already on HelloMe. Your address book is never stored on our servers, never sold, and never shared. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

You can revoke contacts permission at any time in your device settings.

5

Blocking and reporting

HelloMe has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users.

  • Open the person's menu in the app to Block or Report them.
  • Blocks are invisible — a blocked relationship is simply omitted from results, so a block is never revealed to either party.
  • We review reports and typically act on objectionable content or abusive users within 24 hours, which may include removing content and suspending or terminating accounts.

If something needs urgent attention, email support@hellome.us as well as filing the in-app report.

HelloMe is not an emergency service. Never rely on it for urgent or safety-critical communication.
6

Delete your account

You can permanently delete your HelloMe account from inside the app — you do not need to email us.

Settings → Delete account, then confirm when prompted.

Deleting removes your avatar, your circle connections in both directions, your sent and received friend requests, your blocks, your profile, and your sign-in identity along with all sessions and push tokens. It is irreversible, and it acts only on your own account.

If you cannot reach the in-app flow — for example you've lost access to your phone number — email privacy@hellome.us and we'll delete the account after verifying your identity.

7

Privacy requests

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can edit your profile and delete your entire account from inside the app at any time. For anything else, email privacy@hellome.us. We verify identity before acting on a request.

See the Privacy Policy for what we collect, who processes it, and how long it is kept.

Report a security issue

If you believe you've found a vulnerability, email security@hellome.us with steps to reproduce. Please give us a chance to respond before disclosing publicly.
