Know when your
closest friends
are free to talk.

HelloMe shows a handful of people you choose one simple color — green, purple, or red. One glance tells them you're free for a call, up for a text, or heads-down. No message needed. No feed to scroll.

How it works

Three colors. That's it.

HelloMe, TextMe, or Busy — you set yours, your friends see it. Nobody has to send a "hey, you free?" text and then wait around wondering.

HelloMe

Free to talk

Open for a call right now — your friends can just ring you.

TextMe

Up for a text

Can't talk, happy to text — a message is very welcome.

Busy

Heads-down

A gentle signal to hold off, so nobody has to feel turned down.

From download to "hey" in four taps

1

Add your people. Invite a few close friends or family from your contacts. They have to accept — nobody gets added without saying yes.

2

Set your color. One tap, whenever it changes. You're always the one deciding what your friends see.

3

Glance at theirs. Open the app and see, at once, who's around right now and who isn't.

4

Tap to reach them. HelloMe hands off to the apps you already use to call or text. Forget to update? Your color quietly returns to purple after 24 hours.

🔒 No social media accounts needed
🚫 No tracking or data harvesting
🤝 Both people have to approve
Why HelloMe

Built for the handful of people
who actually matter.

Most apps want your attention. HelloMe wants about four seconds of it, and then it wants you talking to a real person.

👥

Just your people

Not followers. Not contacts-of-contacts. A small circle you invited, who invited you back — and nobody else can see a thing.

🌙

Nothing to scroll

There's no feed, no likes, no streaks, no algorithm choosing who you hear from. You open it, you glance, you close it.

🎛️

Always your call

Your status changes only when you change it. HelloMe never guesses at your availability from your location, your calendar, or your screen time.

Privacy

Privacy isn't a feature here.
It's the whole point.

An app about your closest relationships has no business selling you, or selling anything to you. So it doesn't.

No ads

No advertising, no ad SDKs, and no advertising identifiers anywhere in HelloMe.

No tracking

No third-party analytics SDKs and no cross-app or cross-site tracking.

Not for sale

We don't sell your personal data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Not your messages

Calls and texts happen in the apps you already use. HelloMe doesn't read or store your conversations.

Leaving is easy too. You can delete your account, and the data tied to it, from inside the app at any time — no email, no waiting on us. How to delete your account →  ·  Read the full Privacy Policy →
Why we built this

Loneliness is a growing
epidemic.

Most of us have people who'd pick up the phone in a heartbeat. We just never know when it's a good time to call — so we don't. HelloMe is a very small fix for a very common problem.

3 in 5
U.S. adults were classified as lonely — up from around half two years earlier
61% of 10,400+ adults surveyed. Cigna 2020 U.S. Loneliness Index
61%
of young adults (18–25) reported serious loneliness — lonely frequently or almost all the time
4 secs
is all it takes to let your friends know you're around
That's the entire idea behind HelloMe
We built HelloMe for our own family first — for the calls we kept meaning to make and didn't, because we never knew when was a good time. It turns out almost everyone has that list.
Get HelloMe

Let's end the loneliness
epidemic together.

Whether you're reconnecting with an old friend, keeping family close across time zones, or checking in on the people who matter most — HelloMe is built for that.
